How am I doing?

I started a blog about a year ago called Zoo Folk. I am interested in any suggestions or comments from the zoo community. Please don't take this as a solicitation, but I am very interested in how things can improve. The main audience is young adults, so please keep that in mind while reading it. The address is: https://zoofolk.blog.

Thank you ahead of time for any suggestions.

I think it looks good, but I think some data, like species lists, could use an update. Otherwise I like how detailed it is.

Any suggestions on the species list update. Most of the zoos I've visited do not have complete lists of their animals. I actually looked for species lists on ZooChat because of the incomplete list.

Do you think it is written at a young adult level?

If I’m being honest, it feels like it’s written for an audience slightly below the “young adult” audience. Or maybe that’s not the writing, and more the aesthetic of the website.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I originally set it up for parents so they could read to their kids. Then the separate section for the information the parent might like (topography, places to eat, menu items, etc.) for visiting the zoo.
However, I have been told that parents don't read things on the internet so much to their kids. So, I was thinking young adults or school kids studying animals. I will try making it more mature.

The amusing thing to me is that most of the feedback I've gotten has been from zoo staff, which I would think this is WAY below them. So far all of it has been positive.

As for the aesthetics, I have been using blog and web design online courses and tutorials for the suggested formats for a blog. Because of the younger audience, I wanted to not have it be "read, read, read" but a good showing of photos.

If you think of anything else let me know.

Of course. I’m glad I could be of any assistance.
