about 40-50 minutes - in one direction to Twycross, the other to Yorkshire Wildlife Park

It takes me about 20 minutes to drive to my local zoological garden which is called zoologico de los Coyotes ( the zoo of the Coyotes) , sometimes on rare nights when the city is quiet and there are no traffic or fiestas i can hear the wolves and coyotes howling which is quite magical in this mess of a city. Incidentally where i live is in delegacion coyoacan / Tlalpan , the name Coyoacan is an Aztec name given to the area before the spaniards came and destroyed their civilization. It means "place of the abundant mournful coyotes", i imagine in the time of the Aztecs there must have been alot of coyotes , however now the only ones left are sadly the elderly pair in my local zoo Priscilla and Juancho. kind of sad no?

It takes me about 40 min's to Dudley Zoo and about 1 hour 15 min'd to Birmingham Nature Centre as I have to use public transport

It takes me about 30-35 minutes (door to door) by underground or about 45-50 minutes by bus + tram to Zoo Vienna.

It takes me about 45 minutes to get to Adelaide Zoo and about an hour and a half to get to Monarto Zoo. Although Adelaide is closer I consider Monarto to be 'my' zoo

It takes me no less than 30 minutes, but if traffic is heavy it can take about an hour or more. Hence the reason why on a Saturday I like to get there for opening at 9 and no later rhan 10!

I think either Resort Jesperhus or Jutland's Park Zoo. Resort Jesperhus is 30 minutes away in car, I don't know with Jutland's Park Zoo.

It takes me about 45 mins to get to Chester and it takes, 35 mins to Knowsley and just over an hour to Welsh Mountain Zoo. All good zoos! :D

Takes me at least an hour to get to Belfast Zoo if there is no traffic, but usually an hour and a half. The only other zoo which is just worth the journey is Dublin Zoo which is 30 minutes by car, then an hour and half by train and 10-20 minutes on the Luas, or 30-40 minutes walking.

Dallas Zoo is about 35 minutes away. Fort Worth is about 30 minutes. The DWA depends on traffic, usually 40 minutes. and Cameron Park Zoo is a little less than 2 hours from here.
Plus there are more zoos slightly farther away...

About 1 hour cycling (I clock up 150 miles some weeks; well, it looks after my health and there's a cyclepath most of the way).

Ah yes, a fellow cyclist. Fortunately, Reid Park Zoo is only 15 minutes by bike from my new condo (it was just over half an hour from my old apartment). The few times I have biked out to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, though, it is almost an hour and a half (over a very steep and winding mountain/desert road with no bike lane).
