Funnily enough, despite your total literally being a tenth of my own, almost half of your total represents collections I have never visited

That is really quite something ! The known visits I haven't represented are three other French collections (one I actually don't know the name of), which also do not appear on your list, funnily enough. Though I suppose you are not to blame for that as the two I do know appear to be smaller/more obscure zoos, and you currently only have the three French facilities on your list, which were all added this year.

Visiting zoos is a must-have on my bucket list when exploring a place or country. Most of the zoos I’ve visited are located in Asia.

However, I dream of visiting zoos outside of Asia, such as in Europe, Oceania, America, and Africa. Hopefully, one day this dream will come true. Here’s the list:

Currently, I am just shy of the top bracket in this poll and am sitting at 298 zoological facilities. I will break into the 300+ category next month while on a trip to Santa Barbara, California. My wife is going for work and I will be tagging along to spend the week and a half or so going to all of the notable places and many smaller ones from Monterrey Bay/Fresno down to San Diego/Palm Springs. I should be hitting around 30-35 places while I am there, with around 30 of those being new places. I am not one to make a big deal out of "this is my 300th zoo so it needs to be a big one" and with that being said my 300th will more than likely be the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center. If, for some reason, I don't have time to fit in the Santa Barbara Zoo & then the Sea Center (largely depends on timing of getting our bags/rental car) on the day we land, my 300th would then be more notable with it being the Los Angeles Zoo.

I think that's it, I might be forgetting a few minor ones... a modest list, I don't travel a lot and I'm not an avid zoogoer as you can see. I like to keep it a 'special occasion'.

One of the big factors is that I can't drive, which is a big disadvantage when it comes to French zoos. I travel by train and I prefer city zoos. Also I can be picky in the places I choose to visit.

I like to go to the Mulhouse zoo at least once a year, it is my favorite place on this list.
