These games are almost entirely void of Kudu a very common zoo animal. I wonder if the tight spiral horns are harder to animate than the looser ones of say Bongo or Nyala.
For me, the following don't fit in the (Base) game:
Nyala
Formosan black bear
Aldabra giant tortoise
Himalayan brown bear
Chinese pangolin
Bonobo
Bactrian camel
Black wildebeest
Japanese macaque
Siberian tiger
Pronghorn
Southern white rhinoceros
Blue wildebeest
Polar bear
Capybara
Meerkat
King penguin
Jaguar
Red kangaroo
Koala
Dromedary
Fallow deer
Elephant shrew
Blue poison frog
Green anaconda
King cobra
Recticulated python
Red-eyed tree frog
Bearded dragon
Frilled lizard
Japanese giant hornet
Axolotl
Chinese giant salamander
Panther chameleon
Gaboon viper
Naked mole rat
DLC:
Polar bear(In the base game)
Arctic wolf
Musk ox
Moose
Jaguar(In base game)
Llama
Red-eyed treefrog(In base game)
Capybara
Maned wolf
Eyelash viper
Red kangaroo(In base game)
Koala(In base game)
Dingo
Eastern blue-tounged lizard
Common wombat
Emu
Tasmanian devil
Mary river turtle
King penguin(In base game)
Giant otter
Grey seal
Cuiver's dwarf caiman
California sea lion
Harbour seal
Asian small-clawed otter
Walrus
If I could make any changes to the PZ roster, these are what I would make:
65 H, 25 E animals in the base game..
8 H animals in the deluxe edition.
Anywhere from 8-10 H and 1-2 E animals in regular DLCs.
12 H, 2 E animals in animal pack DLCs.
As for changes, below shows what changes I would make for the base game and DLCs. A lot of these are just substitutions for unnecessary copycats and subspecies specificities, as well as crucially missing animals.
New animals are in underlined font and substitute animals are in bolded font.
Now that the Africa DLC is out, I have made a list for the DLC which does not include any of the original habitat animals as they are all in other pack lists I have compiled. Africa DLC
I don't mind the proboscis monkey all that much, though they're not currently kept in American zoos (I'm not sure if Apenheul over in Europe meanwhile still has their proboscis monkeys) they're kept over in Southeast Asia, and I'm biased simply because I love proboscis monkeys. I still don't blame you though since it's still an odd choice (I'd still replace it with perhaps a primate more commonly kept in zoos in general...)
Nobody asked for the Himalayan brown bear, though. Absolutely the most useless animal in the entire game (and I stopped playing the game ages ago)
