I'm Nelson. I just really like watching and reading about non-human animals. Doesn't matter if it's literature, encyclopedic accounts, or field notes. For I don't believe that there is an authoritative disciplinary narrative to describe the world. I do, however, have a soft spot for literature: Peter Mathiesen, Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, and many more whose writings feature animals (Mary Oliver - a big one!)
