Hundreds of Slime-Covered Birds Wash Ashore On England's Southern Coast

Sadly, although the actual substance may be different this time, pollution impacting upon seabirds is nothing new in the English Channel. It has been going on for the best part of a century, to the detriment of the razorbills, guillemots and shags that nest wherever rocky coasts are found along that coast.
