Highland Wildlife Park hwp birds

It seems to be fluxuating. When I last went (August 2008) they had red-billed chough, himalayan snowcock, himalayan monal, capercaillie, eagle owl, snowy owl. Apparentley they had red and black grouse off-show, and they were building a new aviary. Now the chough and grouse seem to have gone from the website listing at least, and no news on the aviary which looked near to completion... what is going on there?

Not much to add to that, i do think that the bird inventory could be improved upon greatly at the park.
I would like to see red crowned crane next to the Japanese macaques and serow.
Certainly a few more pheasant species, as well as perhaps some larger raptors like lammergeier or griffon vulture.
A quirky species for the park would be kea, representing the mountain regions of New Zealand.

I have heard that they are moving the Waldrapp ibis up from Edinburgh to the big net aviary near the visitor center. Great idea Re: Kea!
