hi everyone I am going to the Darling downs zoo tomorrow and I will have pictures and a list of animals that I see

Ps I might not see all of 1 species

Can you take some enclosure photos? Darling Downs Zoo is so underrepresented in the gallery.

You might get a better response by posting in the Australian forum

Hi zorro I was going to take pictures but I instead made a long walkthrough and completely forgot

I will do it now

As you drive in you see a small gravel car park and as you walk into the entrance 2 or 3 nice people welcome you. In the back of the store behind the counter there is a tank for a Pygmy bearded dragon and next to it there is a bearded dragon that is very lively .

Apon entering the premises the is a large area with picnic tables with African grey parrots ,Amazon parrots and capuchin monkeys and different marmoset species and walking in on the left there are large enclosures with 1 large alligator and further up there is a large reptile house housing 2 large reticulated pythons , 1 yellow anaconda , 2 boa constrictors and at the end there is 2 green iguanas

Outside continuing up the path there is a large outside enclosure with Aldabras tortoise and 2 rhinoceros iguanas. Up further there is is a large enclosure with agoutis and sun conures

Then there is a large enclosure with Mara , capybara and Brazilian tapir
On the left there is a large lion enclosure and white lions live next door

Quite strangely they have zebras including a new baby born a couple of weeks ago just across from the lions

Straight up from the lions there are guanaco and llama in a mixed enclosure

Then there is a long walk to the cheetahs ( 4 ) giraffes ( 3 ) and camels ( 2 )
And another enclosure being built next to the cheetahs

Walking down the right side bleeding heart doves own the first cage and in the next ruddy ducks

In the next cage lives Rani the Sumatran tiger and her noisy neighbours 3 gibbons

Across from them 3 ostriches , blackbuck (over 30 ) and 3 red deer

Next to the gibbons is a large aviary with native birds

Across from the aviary is red kangaroos and emus

Down the path lives Pattsy and Percy the Australian Pelicans

Across from the pelicans are wombats

Next door to the wombats are tammar wallabys , bush stone curlews and koala

Across from them are 3 aviarys with bettongs , galahs , and cockatoos

Then you come back to the front of the zoo and to the left red handed tamarins and agoutis and 3 small enclosures (in order of appearance) with bearded dragons , ruddy duck and mandarin ducks and turtles

Then you are finished and end up back up at the entrance
