Hello!
My name is Claire. I came on this site to share what I've learned about the species I have been focusing on for over a year now, which is Varanus Rudicollis, the Black Roughneck Monitor Lizard. I am also interested in learning about zookeeping, particularly enclosure/exhibit design, breeding, enrichment, and husbandry. Although I am young, I am very dedicated to working with a wide variety of animals, however, specifically focusing on herps and possibly corvids.
A bit about me, I work with two species currently, Varanus Rudicollis and Python Reticulatus. Although I am admiant about working with Boiga Melanota, Boiga Cyanea, and Boiga Dendrophila subspecies. Other than reptiles, I have worked a variety of wild birds (specifically Corvus brachyrhynchos), a vairety of livestock, and many other commonly kept domestic animals. My goals is to become a certified veterinary technician, as well as a future zookeeper and or zoo curator. As well as work with exhibit design for reptiles.
I understand this site is mainly for professional zookeepers, however, I am interested in getting connected with others and learning their ways! If you are experienced in the vet tech field, herpatology field, or similar fields, id love to hear from you.
Thanks!
