That one could be any number of animals...but what about a solenodon?

Last one outside Cuba was in Fankfurt in the 70/80s.

I saw one in Frankfurt in 1973 - I'd have to turn to my old International Zoo Yearbooks to check the species. It was a fascinating creature: very primitive looking and it sort of waddled with its back legs far apart.

I'll have to find something odd from my photo collection to test you all.

@pygathrix: my guessing of the solenodon redeems me after the malayan tapir guess of your original photo! But I have never seen one...
 
The first one is an Abyssinian blue-winged goose. The second photo is a pair of Cape shelduck
