I am now 100% sure this was taken at the LA Zoo. Here you could see where she took the photo:

If you look behind the waterfall you could see the cave and the same fence seen in the photo. If you move the camera view to the right you could also see the fan palms seen just behind the rock work that are also in the photo.
Unfortunately Google Street View did not enter the cave to get a better view.
