Hi,
I was wondering what some of the members do if you were an animal what sort daily would you enjoy most.
If I was an elephant I certianly wouldn't like going to musth for about a quarter of the year ( that is if I was in captivity) Though I'd love to try out my trunk, would be super flexible.

also if you were an animal what would be your favourite food, e.g. panda what type of bamboo takes your fancy?
 
that would be pretty cool, though males have a very interesting 15 years in their lives, if you know what I mean. ;)

I'd probably like to be a fox; I've watched a family of them in a woods next to me, and they have a very interesting life style. Mind you, they live a precaurious existence, if they're not dodging cars they're being trapped by farmers.
I suppose an elephant would be good, as they are my favourite animal, and to be honest I wouldn't mind going on musth! Another rather fun lifestyle would be a gorilla at Port Lympne or Howletts. :)

If you want to read about literally going in and out of being an animal, I'd suggest the Switchers trilogy by Kate Thompson and The Shapeshifter series by Ali Sparkes. ;)
 
foxes neat, over here where I live they have a bit of a problem with them and have set up poison traps. Though I personally have never seen one!

oh apprently musth is hell to an elephant! they just have no control of their body. And in captivity if your tied down musth can last for months rather than a few weeks. If you don't get hosed down regularly your in big trouble ;)
 
I wouldn't like it in captivity, but in the wild I guess you can exert your dominance a bit... well, that does sound a bit mean!
 
ahaha well I guess so. In musth elephants feel little to no injury.

Bring on the pain!!
 
I would like to be a Rhinoceros! I would like to just charge around all day wielding and thrashing my horn about (no innuendo intended!) ;)
 
When I was little I'd try to concerntrate hard enough to be ale to fly so I think if I was an animal that could sustain flight (I don't want to be a flying fish or sugar glider:)) then I'd be happy. A swallow would be cool. :)
 
If i could be an animal........

Probably either a house cat (boring i know!) or a gibbon....

House cat becuase they can just sleep all day........

Or gibbon becuase they seem to have quite a laid back life... swing around a bit, eat a bit, sing a bit.......sounds fun!

But then again......being a jaguar would be pretty cool....
 
I think if i could be any type of animal for a few days id probably be a species of owl., It would be wonderful flying through the night sky and seeing the city or the sierras at night or in the day. It would be interesting to just feel the noble power of flight and having wings instead of limbs and having feathers and superb eyes to navigate the darkness. It would be fantastic and surreal to be able to turn my head to such a degree as an owl and id take great satisfaction in flying over some people who have done me wrongs and excreting upon their heads hahahahaha or frightening them by making loud shrieking vocalizations outside their windows at night. Im not sure i could get used to the diet of reptiles , pigeons ,song birds and rodents also the harsh process of natrual selection and just surviving would be another thing that wouldnt be so pleasant.
