The Cleveland Zoo, like many other American collections, has seen a rise in attendance during the recession. So far this year the zoo is 5% ahead of last year's pace, and in 2008 over 1.2 million people visited this establishment. Interesting enough, the rarely visited Akron Zoo (also in Ohio) has seen a 54% increase in attendance during the past two years.
