Certainly - I will get those scanned for you as soon as possible - to avoid cluttering the thread up too much I'll send them via a PM. Feel free to send any further requests anytime.

On a related note, I have a LOT of catching-up on this thread to do :P as in the last few weeks I obtained around 35 back issues of International Zoo News which pre-date the 1990 edition I most recently posted about..... which means rather a lot of retrospective insertions into the thread!

I recall that, about a quarter-of-a-century ago, IZN published an interesting article, written by Marvin Jones and Richard Weigl, that listed all the monkey-eating eagles ever kept in zoos outside the Philippines.

Have you got that article, by chance?

I'll see if I can root it out :) I have almost all of the editions from 1990 onwards, so theoretically if it was published during that timeframe the odds are pretty good I do have it somewhere.

I have now added information relating to four editions published in 1979 within this post.

Given the number of retrospective insertions I have ahead of me, I've omitted the photographs of the front covers for now - during this period, all editions of IZN had identical cover designs which differed only in colour, in any case!

I have now added information relating to three editions published in 1980 within this post; again, I have omitted front-cover photographs for now, and have attempted to be rather more succinct in my summaries than has previously been the case.

1979: VOLUME 26

I currently own five issues from this volume, and believe seven in total were published in 1979.

Volume 26 Issue 3 - Edition 159 - April/May 1979 -
