Via the Indianapolis Zoo magazine, the zoo has obtained 2 Cotton-Top Tamarins (Dolly and Tina, in the visitors center), 2 domestic dogs (ambassadors), and a barn owl (ambassador).

When I visited, it said the walrus were basking in Florida while renovations go on, it seems they are expanding the habitat, but I could be wrong

In other words, a few notes:

• There are Cotton-Top Tamarins in the Visitor Service Center Bathroom
• All the Couas are in Flights of Fancy, no more in Plains
• No Cayman Blue Iguanas in Deserts
• Radiated Tortoises have all been moved to the small plant paddock in deserts

I emailed the zoo about it, as it shows 2 species of animal, one that used to be at the zoo, and another I’ve never seen. These animals are the Diamond Dove and the Scrawed Cowfish. Anyone know anything about these?

The public can now vote on the calf's name! The vote will close on October 16th and the winning name will be announced on the same day. The options are Maji (water), Jabari (fearless or brave), and Zambezi (great river).
