Any other interestingly-shaped aviaries out there?

That is an oddly shaped aviary. I don’t know of any “weirdly shaped” ones, but some zoos have really small aviaries which are going out of “style.”

Sadly it now stands empty but I’ve always loved the aesthetics of this one.

I saw some pictures here on zoochat of this incredible looking aviary in a zoo in the USA.

It had fascinating modern architecture with quite a nice aesthetic too but irritatingly I can't remember what the name of the zoo was.

The only thing I can remember is that it was some kind of aviary-walkthrough type building that housed African bird species.

That's extremely vague. The biggest African Bird Aviary in North America is Scripps Aviary at San Diego which I mentioned earlier. The only Aviary I can think of with good architecture would probably be South Africa at Dallas World Aquarium.
If it’s modern architecture and in a building your probably looking at North Eastern Zoos like Bronx or Philadelphia (neither have it though they’re just examples).
