Hi were thinking of visiting over the summer, just wondered if anybody had visited recently and could give me some info? Is it worth a visit?

Of course it is, but you should know that you cant just turn up, you need to pre-book with either a keeper for the day or big cat encounter experience, unless it is special circumstances and you know the CEO.
They have ALOT of cats, and lots of different species...i love visiting and spending time with the team and the cats all the time

Is that expensive?

YES it is well worth a visit, but you must remember, as has been mentioned earlier on this thread, to book in and not just turn up. You will have a fabulous time if you decide to visit

This new YouTube channel that has recently been set up by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation might help persuade you that if you like big cats this is a great place to visit

Videos are gradually being added but these are some of my favourites so far :D

I'd never heard of this place. It sounds lovely. I would love to go. I think I will investigate the volunteer days, as this seems a good way to get involved

if you are interested in photography then it is a good place to visit - I'm not. There are a few different species there, but nothing too out of the ordinary (apart from a Chinese leopard when I visited last year). This park is a direct partner with the 'Paradise Wildlife Park' in Hertfordshire. The work that the people involved in the WHF are doing is fantastic, but i don't think it's a particularly special place to visit. Most of the enclosures are large 'cages' with not a lot of browse and places to hide - great if you just want to take photos though... Please, let me know what you think of the place.
