Is there any opossum encounter in the USA?

Just to see one, or touch one? I see you’re in Austin. Dallas Zoo has one in their wild encounters animal demo (viewing only). Fort Worth Zoo has also had animal demos with them in the past, but I don’t know if they currently do.

Thank you, I’d want to see & touch both, so I’ll visit the zoo again anytime
 
I am not aware of any zoos that do, but I have seen private individuals and rescues that allow the opossum to be touched. These have been Virginia opossums at free events where the rescue organization has a booth to educate people and solicit donations.
 
San Antonio Aquarium used to have a gray four-eyed opossum named Creature that walked around with a lesser anteater & a nine-banded armadillo, which I already encountered one

Sadly the opossum passed away this year due to cancer and she was 4 years old
