And here I thought the Seaworld exhibits were too small. This makes them look good in comparison.

Both are terrible, but I would say that this exhibit is slightly better than the one that started this thread. The hotel seems to be in better shape, but it's really sad seeing the bear in such a small enclosure and all alone.
That enclosure is bad but I've also seen pictures and videos of the polar bears kept in the Suarez Brothers Circus. They were in crates with no pool or air conditioning in Puerto Rico. Also I'm sure the polar bear that is (or was) in Giza Zoo suffered immensely in that heat (though there was some disgusting water to swim in).
The Seaworld exhibits are definitely not exceptional, but they are standard. They are much bigger than this enclosure mentioned.
Yeah, Chinese Polar Bear exhibits are usually pretty darn crappy. I've seen similiar crappy exhibit like that before. And it's the same fully blue-walled concrete tank with underwater viewing of chlorine pool.

Doesn't seem like they have a lot of privacy either. I'd be stressed if everyone can see me from up to down with no hiding place when needed.

The worst 'official' polar bear exhibit is in Kazan zoo, Russia.
Also our country is notorious for travelling menageries. This is where unwanted circus animals go.
