This would go much more smoothly if you just showed your source instead of making a series of vague posts.
On Birdforum, the original post was put up on April 1st, but was then edited out by the original poster on April 2nd; very odd. At least some of the material posted in the links above looks much more promising than the Birdforum released material; but by no means conclusive. I await comments from reviewers; I would love to see the species continuing to exist and recover in future, but would still put more money on South Island Kokako at present!

It's interesting, but I'm still not convinced at all. They've spent all this time out there with high tech equipment and their photos are far worse than the ones that were taken over half a decade ago.
