IZES Spring Meeting

Do you have definite timings for the afternoon?
The meeting is meant to be pretty informal, so definite timings aren't really possible to give.
For example, one of the first items will be Ashley Palmier's welcome + introduction to the Ventura zoo. But just how long it takes will partly depend on whether those attending have many questions for him to answer (or not). Even the weather will play a part: obviously, if it's raining heavily, folk aren't going to want to spend much time outdoors...
(Probably not very helpful, but what can I say? Just get there as soon as you can, bro')

- if you want a table for display of guidebooks, etc. please let us know, so we have an idea of how many tables will be required on the day.

I'll definitely be attending and will have some wares but I'll probably only need part (half?) of a table.

As my boyfriend reminded me last night, last time we went to Ventura/Van Hage there was a tremendous queue to get into the car park by lunchtime, and that was in winter. He's predicting worse queues now we're into spring. Just something to keep in mind when driving in. We're aiming to get there earlier to avoid the queues.

What a great afternoon! Thanks to everyone who played a part in setting it up. :)

I agree; it was a thoroughly enjoyable event which provided a great opportunity to both meet up with old friends and, also, meet some other ZooChatters for the first time.

Many thanks to the organisers and to Ventura Wildlife’s Zoological Gardens for making us so welcome.

Thank you to everyone involved for organising such a great meeting. For a first timer I really enjoyed myself :)

I had a great day as well, many thanks to all who helped organise it, thanks to the staff at Ventura and Waddesdon for being so accommodating and thanks to my fellow enthusiasts who helped make the day really great.
