iZoo IZoo news thread

On our 2017 visit we were told that the marine iguanas were being held off-site (and off-display)

The Galapagos land iguanas were on- show though, but they may have outgrown their vivarium by now.
Thanks for the answer, I didn't know they had Land iguanas too, would be nice to see them breed.

With the cooperation of the esb/eep izoo will be exhibiting Indian gharials starting from August 1. The translation engines translation seems wonky so I can't tell what they mean by 2029.

This isn’t about the park but its owner who also is an importer, breeder, and a broker had some radiated tortoises stolen from his facility. The animals are microchipped.

I really wonder where most of these animals will end up considering that izoo isn't accredited by the JAZA and it's creator has ties with brokers and the rest of the trade most people here wouldn't approve of.

That might be true, but just look at their track record with breeding rare and endangered herps.
That puts many a zoo's reptile collection to shame.

Are the Galapagos iguanas (marine or ground) now in exhibit?

This center looks very interesting. What rare species, especially Japanese or Asian, are there here?
