Jacksonville or Lowry Park?

I have not been to Jacksonville, but here are some animal highlights at the Lowry Park Zoo: babirusa (babies), clouded leopard, one horned rhino (toddler), Malayan & white tiger, sloth bear, komodo dragon, Malayan tapir (toddler), manatee, puma, black bear, whooping crane, bald eagle, red wolf, North American river otter, orangutan, siamang, mandrill, lemur, colobus monkey, African black footed penguin, meerkat, kudu, nyala, Marabou stork, giraffe, mountain zebra, African elephant (baby), zebra, white rhino, pygmy hippo (baby), shoebilled stork, hammerkop, koala, emu, flying fox, cockatoo, New Guinea singing dog, a variety of birds (main aviary and other exhibits), etc.

I haven't had the pleasure of visitning Jacksonville yet, but Lowry Park is a great zoo. Also blospz forgot to mention for the American Black Bear, there are two unrelated, orphaned cubs. There are also four Roseate Spoonbill chicks, and several Marabou Stork chicks.

I really enjoyed Jacksonville Zoo. A keeper told me the next round of updates is an Asian themed Rotational exhibit featuring Sumatran or Malayan Tiger.

The only thing Jacksonville really needs is a new Elephant Exhibit (another great location to try an all Bull herd if I saw so myself) and to renovate the Primate exhibits.

Everyone knows I love hoofstock and it thrilled me that I got to see my first Bongo and my first Okapi this weekend.
