We are working on negotiations with Suzhou Zoo to exchange or introduce the species, but there is no progress.

Volcano Rabbit (Higashiyama Zoo)
We are planning to introduce volcano rabbits through exchange with Mexico City.

North Island brown kiwi (Tennoji Zoo)
We have started to make arrangements for the introduction of new individuals of kiwi by interviewing the species coordinator of WAZA.

Asiatic lion (Zoorasia)
The introduction of a female from Nehru Zoo has been postponed due to corona infection in a female to be imported.

Red-shanked Douc Langur (Zoorasia)
While coordinating the exchange of Douc langur with ZPO, we are still unable to obtain permission from the Japanese government to import Douc langur.

Chinese pangolin (Ueno Zoo)
We are working on introducing a male from Taipei Municipal Zoo.

I’m glad to see that JAZA zoos hadn’t given up on all rarities. I hope there’s initiative to being in hoof-stock in the future as well.
