I wanted him to settle in a bit before we made him public, but everyone will be able to see him this weekend. We'll also be starting private encounters with him soon, which will be unique in the East Anglian area.:)

Thanks for the info, sounds like I visited a couple of days to early. Will definitely be back soon though to check out the new additions.

So I just got a fresh new bit of intel for you.

The producers of the TV show are making a new cut of our first series "Spring at Jimmy's Farm" for the international market. I don't know exactly where internationally, but hopefully it'll reach you guys that have been asking on here. Also, there'll be an extra 10 minutes of footage per episode that was unseen in the UK because it was originally broadcast after the televised clap for the NHS.

I hope the staff get chance to see the new footage too!:)
 
That was fun watching Autumn at Jimmy's Farm and one day I would like to go there for a visit as I never been there before

I keep getting messages commenting on how honest our little show is. Well tonight we bravely, and possibly foolishly decided to televise a major event that most wildlife parks would rather keep quiet about, and also there’s a really emotional bit, so keep the tissues handy! Please give it a watch. ;)
 
Sorry to hear of the loss of 2 of your wallabies Wendy and Jenson. You can see how much the keepers loved them.
 
I'm really enjoying watching the show, even if it is sad at times. What I love about it though, is how much the keepers care for their animals - it's so wholesome to watch. I need to visit soon!

Yeah, that was a really rough one! At least we were wearing masks so couldn’t see us ugly crying. Thanks for the kind thoughts.:)
 
I am certainly enjoying the honest display of the highs and lows of running a wildlife park & farm. The passion and care of the keepers certainly does come across.

I certainly can’t wait to visit again in the near future- especially with this new big build on the way!

Thanks. Like everything we do, we try to make it different to the content that other parks put out there. Hopefully people find it refreshing. Just had a funny few comments on Twitter though!:rolleyes:

The big new build begins next week I think with the animals arriving in Ep 4. Also arrivals of Basil and the Suffolk Punches too (obvs both of those have been put on social, so I can talk about them;))​
 
I know they're not "zoo" animals but having the Suffolk Punches is a huge plus and great acknowledgement of the species due to their low numbers.
Do we discover next week what the new species will be or do we have to wait until ep4?

Sadly there will always be people who will want to belittle and mock smaller zoos/wildlife parks but personally I'm enjoying the series and long may it continue.

Yep I’m pretty sure they’ll talk about them next week because it’s more than just the build....it’s the back story of the animals themselves that’ll need covering.
 
Is the plan to set up a breeding programme at the wildlife park for the Suffolk Punches? Do you plan to complete the Suffolk Trinity or do you already hold Redpole Cattle and Suffolk Sheep?

The horses are 2 mares and still pretty young, but the plan is to breed from them eventually.
We have 2 Suffolk ewes, but no Redpole cattle.
To be honest, I don't have much to do with the punches, cows and pigs acquisitions as that's working farm.:)

Visited for the first time today, saw the new build, not open yet. It is fairly big, has it been announced what is going there yet?

It looked a high fence for either of those, it looked more like carnivore or primate fencing to me, it's difficult to judge looking uphill from 100m away but I would guess it is at least 8 feet high. My guess would be wolves or cheetah, possibly even bears
