Not really :p I know you're being deliberately facetious given you yourself have lauded the importance of surplus animals to a programme being placed somewhere in order to allow space for breeding elsewhere!

It is astonishing that if these animals were known to be available, no bigger zoo came in for them.
Whipsnade in particular springs to mind as they have 2 enclosures and could possibly have rotated the 2 new bears with their remaining one surely.
There are still plenty of other zoos with space that could have accommodated them, but doesn't matter too much, I can see them for nothing and they are less than an hour away!

I visited here briefly at around 3.30, my 2nd visit in 2 months for an obvious reason!
I was not disappointed and got to see one active bear in the gloom. It was exploring its enclosure and didn't seem bothered by the large number of people or noise from the Christmas market( which had caused the place to be very busy) , as he came right up to the front fence and was digging a hole near it.
Plenty of enrichment as he is sharing his enclosure with a peacock, mandarin duck, white goose and a chicken!!
Also saw 2 active leopard cats, but no sign of the pumas this time.

They removed the storks from the enclosure now then?

And if anyone is interested then the two bears came from Berlin and Zlin. :)

Does this mean Berlin is no longer a holder? If I'm recalling correctly they only had the one.

The black swans, white storks and most of the geese were in a fenced off area next to the bears.
