Following in the footsteps of Jon Hall (as so many of us do) I’ll be attempting to nab another Family Lifer in the form of a Dwarf Sperm Whales. I’ve reserved a 6-hour boat trip with Captain Felix out of Bahia Los Muertes, near La Ventana, Mexico for either Monday, June 16th or Tuesday June 17th (whichever day has calmer winds). It’s about 2-hours drive from Cabo San Lucas Airport (SJD), which has very affordable Jetblue flights from NY. Last year around this time Jon saw multiple Kogia on consecutive days. If we have extra time we can try our luck with other cetaceans like Sperm, Humpback & Pilot Whales or Risso’s, Spotted, Common & Bottle-nosed Dolphins. Can be up to 6 people total, including me.
