Yeah, the problem is I’d have to find the specific post. I’m just a bit lazy…I would suggest reading the thread..

I didn't know this zoo at all, but in effect, according to Wikipedia, most animals are common in zoos, except the Florida Panther, the Gerenuk, the Dama Gazelle, the Roan Antelope and perhaps 2 or 3 birds. It was controversial because many people disagreed with it’s inclusion in the top 50. Their reasoning was largely based on the fact it isn’t a regulation zoo you can walk around (private tours only) and the tour costs $400.
Several people, while acknowledging the exhibits are expansive and highly impressive, said they couldn’t justify spending that amount of money to see species they can readily see at affordably priced zoos.

When did it came?Don’t forget Giant panda.![]()
When did it came?
I know nothing about it.
And for what it’s worth, Florida panthers are probably the same subspecies as all other North American cougars…I didn't know this zoo at all, but in effect, according to Wikipedia, most animals are common in zoos, except the Florida Panther, the Gerenuk, the Dama Gazelle, the Roan Antelope and perhaps 2 or 3 birds.
Among the moŕe common species, only the herd of Asian Elephants (sent by a circus) and the crash of White Rhinos look really unusual.
The others look standard, as well as the enclosures that look like plain grassy paddocks, not really impressive (at least) for Europeans.
I hope this didn't lead to a Haliaeetus hernia.Indeed I was. Sorry for getting your hopes up @Haliaeetus.
Sand & Sable : who needs the sable ? The sand cat !
It's about the print ad of a perfume popular in the 1990's "Sand & Sable".I'm both a Zoochatter and French and I still don't understand this, I can't lie...
I guess it's something to do with Sable = Sand in French but?
