July Chester and Yorkshire Trip

Thanks everyone for all the information so far. Yesterday I visited the Welsh Mountain Zoo and didn't make it to RSPB Conwy, but did go to RSPB Burton Mere which was great.

I'm now in Hornsea for the second half of this trip. Tomorrow I'm planning to go birding at Bempton Cliffs/Flamborough Head. I have looked at the map of UK zoos created by @devilfish (so thanks to him for that! Very useful) and it seems that Sewerby hall is nearby along with a falconry centre that I can't find much information about. Are these places worth visiting?

Just a quick question. I may or may not be visiting Hull, it's up to what the rest of my family want to do now that I have been to the place I wanted to go to which was Bempton Cliffs, but if I do visit Hull, there seem to be a number of small zoos around. I believe The Deep aquarium is supposed to be quite good but I was wondering which places are better and more worth visiting out of Pearson Park Conservatory, Pickering Park Aviaries, West Park Aviaries, and Animal Education Centre.
Has anyone visited any/all of these small zoos?

Thanks! I'm always happy to hear that people find it helpful.
I've visited each of those Hull collections. The Deep is by far the best and one of my favourite aquariums in the UK (although it's not a difficult title). If you'd get excited by sawfish, bumpnose unicornfish or spotted ratfish, then go. East Park's Animal Education Centre (AEC) is the best of the smaller park collections, although it's still a small collection. Pearson Park conservatory is essentially a small collection limited to the inside of the conservatory, but I've not seen it since it was refurbished a year or two ago. It looks pleasant but you wouldn't be visiting for the animals. Both Pickering and West Park have a series of aviaries for more common zoo birds, with some mammals in West Park - most of the animals in these latter three parks seem to be surplus from the AEC.

Update - it seems that the aviaries in Pickering Park were closed in summer 2016.
