Kakapo return to the mainland

4 male kakapos have been (or at least are very soon/now!), reintroduced to Sanctuary Montain -Maungatautari in Waikato, the first time they've been on the mainland in 40 years.
Super stoked about this, and possibly may mean that the ordinary public may get a chance to see them soon!!
