Since I don't have the game quite yet, can someone tell me how I can keep large, tropical reptiles in a cold climate? Does the temperature change in indoor enclosures?

As far as I know, there are certain reptiles (tortoises and crocodilians) that need outdoor enclosures. A heater within their enclosure, set to the correct temperature, should work. As for iguanas, they're already in indoor enclosures so no need for heaters. One of the things I noted is that some animals are... Quite worryingly missing. For me the ones that stand out the most as missing are:
- Birds in general! We need (in order of priority)
> Penguins (Come onnn! That's a zoo ABC!)
> Waterbirds in general
> Raptors
> Parrots
> Hornbills and toucans
- Marsupials. Come on, at least give us a macropod of sorts!
- Otters and mongooses
- Pinniped (No California sea lion in a zoo simulator game? Blasphemy!)
- Large rodents (Capybara, beaver, porcupines...)
- Arboreal primates (Spider monkeys, gibbons, Capuchins...)
- Foxes and small cats
- Giant anteater
I'm sure that most of these and more will appear in future DLC, but still... No kangaroos at the very least? Anyway, a DLC I'd love to see would be one about flying animals, with a new aviary building feature and plenty of birds. Heck, even fruit bats!
Also, since I don't have the game quite yet, can someone tell me how I can keep large, tropical reptiles in a cold climate? Does the temperature change in indoor enclosures?

You can actually keep reptiles outside in cold climates, as long as you have heaters covering the entire exhibit set to the required temperature of the reptile. As far as I know, there are certain reptiles (tortoises and crocodilians) that need outdoor enclosures. I personally have not done any large indoor enclosures for the tortoises and co., however.
Gotcha. Thanks! You can actually keep reptiles outside in cold climates, as long as you have heaters covering the entire exhibit set to the required temperature of the reptile.
