Kinkajou enclosures

Chester Zoo housed and bred them in the small mammal house in an inside enclosure 8x8x8 feet.

They also kept kinkajou in the original nocturnal house, but I don't know the dimensions of the exhibits there.

newquay zoo have them in their 'wildlife at night' house they share the enclosure with paca (and some mice). i'm not sure how many there are but i know theres more than one. concerning size, i coudln't be exact but its a reasonable size big eneough to miss them, with lots of climbing equipment and bushes

Amazon World on the Isle of Wight were introducing several Kinkajous to another species (possibly Armadillo?) when I was there in the winter - a keeper was on watch for any problems, but they seemed fine together. If you mail them they may tell you more than I can remember!

Dierenpark Emmen keeps them together with armadillo's, sloths and night monkeys.

I think that in the wild they often mix with Olingo so this could work as a mixed-species exhibit, although I don't know of any Olingo in the UK.

Olingos are small neotropical carnivores, closely related to kinkajous.

But the only problem with olingo's is that no zoo outside South America keeps them.

in the 1966 International Zoo Yearbook (vol.6) there's an article about keeping olingos at the Louisville Zoo (USA), including experiments regarding interactions with other species in mixed enclosures. 1.2 olingos were placed in an enclosure with 1.2 kinkajous and the results were that although the kinkajous were dominant "after a few days with them, [the olingos] lost most of their initial timidity, and the flight distance shrunk from about four feet to a few inches. Neither species seemed to bother the other, but it was absolutely necessary to provide a very large cage and several feeding stations for the benefit of the weaker olingos."
(The olingos were also trialled with 1.2 douroucoulis, which dispalyed a certain amount of fear of the olingos but never became overtly panicky, although the flight distance was two feet; and with an agouti which displayed some explosive flight reactions, apparently associated with the noise of the olingos moving through the branches in the cage).
