From my research, the Bharal went to hunting ranges and the Sambar should be at the Safari Park.

Hunting ranges? How awful! Are sambar not kept in the US anywhere else?

Gorillas, wow, very interesting. I am not surprised... What was the reason for this move? Is that exhibit still viewable for special tours?

Pardon my digression, but I wanted to share that as far as I know, the original inhabitants of this exhibit space were Mandrills (Mandrillus sphinx), and like the Bonobos (Pan paniscus), they were viewable from the Wgasa Bush Line monorail.

Only two male gorillas were moved to this exhibit to form a small bachelor troop, as they'd both been challenging the silverback, Winston, and were becoming aggressive to the females in the troop. The rest of the gorillas remain in their original exhibit. As for your other question, yes, the exhibit can still be seen, but still only on special tours.

Edinburgh keeps Partula snails off-exhibit. They are used for breeding so they can release them into the wild.

The one striped hyena is only in the exhibit during closed hours. The spotted hyenas don't have a public exhibit. You won't be able to see them.
