Knowsley Safari Park Knowsley Giraffes

Never once said to be an expert, so there is no need for the personal attack. Think its very sad that someone can not have a personal opinion, or be allowed to voice an opinion. From your comments none of you appear to work there, you have not seen what I'm explaining, so I don't know how you can defend or tell me this is normal and be rude to me without actually seeing it for yourselves. As much as you can write and lecture me on what is "normal" without seeing and witnessing what they are doing and how they look, how can you judge me

I mean, I work with and have worked with giraffes for years both bachelor and breeding herds and have had involvement around the studbook. I’d like to think some of what I said holds up?!

Well on that note @Bubalus I'm happy to go with what you say as I personally don't have any experience and my only knowledge is mainly off here and research

Again not dismissing your experience with working with the species or your particular knowledge. Not once have I disagreed with your comments. The way I see animals is that they are all individuals and have their own welfare and needs, so surely just because you have worked with bachelor and breeding groups doesn't mean you know what these particular two are going through, what condition they are in, how stressed they are and so on?
Just because I look after a dog or have had several of them doesn't mean I know everything about dogs, I would never assume they are all the same and dismiss it's individual needs or circumstance.

This thread appears to have reached the end of the road and I can't see any good coming from this now. We all have our own opinions and maybe we just need to keep these to ourselves as sharing them seems to cause antagonistic responses. Knowsley will do what Knowsley wants to do and that's how it should stay.
