Does anyone here have any photos (or videos) of the male lions in the Knowsley Pride in the 1990s? I first visited in summer 1998 and was amazed in particular by an older looking male with a scarred face and became fascinated with lions after seeing him. Since doing research online and talking to someone who knows about UK lions I know of Simba, Sly and Shane in the pride at the time.
After seeing photos of Sly, he reminds me a lot of that male I saw in 1998 but he'd only be three then so I'm not sure it's him, but maybe. I know Simba was a couple of years older than Sly but after seeing photos recently that are meant to be of him he doesn't look like that male, and Shane was born in 1997 so obviously not him.
It would be really good if there's someone on here who was at Knowsley at the time and knew the pride but I'd appreciate any info anyone has.
