That is strange they had been tasked of the former list when I just checked. Who knows only time will tell
The wild dogs were once a favourite of mine at the park. It was a sad day when they passed. There hasn't been anything like them out on the drive sincePersonally I would love to see african wild dogs back at Knowsley and I also think the old tiger enclosure on the safari drive could be used as space for another large carnivore rather than more space for the lions and I hope the wolves move back to the foot safari soon
Ooh this is goodKnowsley will receive a pair of spectacled bears from Jersey Zoo:
Durrell on Instagram: " A fond farewell to Chui and Bahia! Our two paw-esome Andean bears will be leaving Jersey to move to Knowsley Safari, where they will have the space to roam and explore together in a larger enclosure. Join us at Jersey Zoo on 14 and 15 October for Bye Bye Bears to give the pair the bear-illiant send-off they deserve. We’ll have hourly bear talks, a bear (scavenger) hunt, a teddy bear’s picnic, and more! Entrance to Bye Bye Bears is free for members. Normal admissions apply for non-members. More about the event via the link in our bio"
Work is going on at the enclosure that previously housed the Wolves on the foot safari, so I imagine that is where the bears will be located.Amazing news. Hopefully will be a boost for the park. I wonder where they will go. My guess is the wolf enclosure on the foot safari. Really looking forward to seeing these two.
Now this is some really good news, but it is sad for Durrell as they have cared for Andean bears since they opened more or lessKnowsley will receive a pair of spectacled bears from Jersey Zoo:

Yeah, I can see the old wolf enclosure being a good spot for the bears, and I hope they also build a new on-show house for the bearsWith the addition of some climbing structures, the old wold enclosure would be great for the bears. Better than Jersey anyway.
So have the bears already arrived at Knowsley?
