Everyone is right. Their animal collection is not very impressive, they need more birds. Please Kolmården, get some birds.

Nonetheless, I still think that Kolmården really needs a tropical house if their own. eEspecially since Sweden is located in a cold climate, and the winter is to hard for many tropical species to be outdoors. Plus, it would really buff up Kolmården as an attraction.

I think what Toddy meant is that Kolmården Zoo should build a tropicarium in the zoogrounds, they surely has the space for it.

Saba in Kolmarden
Saba is integrated with the other elephants in the stable since over a month, and they have also been together outside in the out enclosure.

Asiatic Lions
A bit of a random comment but does Kolmarden zoo still have asiatic lions and was the male born at Dudley zoo in the UK?? Was just wondering as his father has just died so was intrigued to see if his genes have been passed on to another generation of Asiatic Lions

^We don't have Asian lions in Kolmården, we have them in Parken Zoo, another zoo in Sweden. Where did you read this??
A female white rhino calf has been born at Kolmarden (25/11/2009).
Mother is the old Imfolozi ..., in effect the 3rd calf.
Seems they kept it under wraps quite long.
