That's what I thought because they would have mentioned it on either their website or social media if they did have them because nothing comes up when I search it.I went in February and there were none on show. I don't think they have them.
A male from Colchester arrived last year (so presumably off-show).Curu, the first Komodo dragon to be hatched at Colchester Zoo back in 2013 has been moved to Flamingo Land.

Here is notes from the Autumn 2016 magazine:I think someone was dreaming ….
This is going to be brilliant hopefully.I think the the plan maybe to keep him off show while they put his enclosure together and then when he is old enough the zoo may acquire a female for him. Here is notes from the Autumn 2016 magazine:

So, in fact ZTL is correct on that.
Be interesting to know what they plan for the future with Komodos here!
Ganas at London Zoo is pretty special. He has been at the zoo since 2015 having been transferred from Randers Zoo, Denmark. He is still a youngster, coming up to 7 years oldThis is going to be brilliant hopefully.I think the the plan maybe to keep him off show while they put his enclosure together and then when he is old enough the zoo may acquire a female for him.
In regards to Komodo Dragon exhibits in the UK which ones are the best? I have seen Chester's personally and Londons on various TV programs but never Colchesters or Crocodiles of the World.

Thanks for the photos and information.I'm hoping to be visiting Crocodiles of the World later in the year, is it a worthwhile trip? Here is a picture of Colchester's Komodo Dragon enclosure: dragons of komodo | ZooChat

Having seen all the Komodo Dragon exhibits in the UK in person, I would rank them as:
1. Dragons in Danger at Chester Zoo
2. The Attenborough Komodo Dragon House at ZSL London Zoo
3. Dragons of Komodo at Colchester Zoo
4. Komodo Dragon House at COTW
Yes, COTW is a great collection with some great crocs but you can't spend a whole day there so it would be worth a combined visit with another collection like Cotswold Wildlife Park, Birdland or the Cotswold Falconry CentreI'm hoping to be visiting Crocodiles of the World later in the year, is it a worthwhile trip?
I never suggested he was a breeding animal, I said that he was a fairly young Komodo dragonGanas isn't the name he started out with,as he was one of Chesters parthenogenesis born Komodo,so he is completely useless as a breeding animal!

How good is Crocodiles of the Worlds Komodo exhibit? For what its worth I only agree with 2 of your order that being London and Crocs,I would switch the position of Chester and Colchester round,as Colchester can manage how they move their Komodos far better than Chester can!

Thanks ZG. I'm hoping to visit in the coming months and this will be my main highlight. Its okay for the 1 animal they have but long term it will have to move.
