A new species recently went on display at Kuranda in their nocturnal house - Yellow-bellied Gliders. Reported on their social media page.
I thought there were at least 2 other collections in Queensland that have/had themA new breeding pair of Mahogany Gliders has been created at Kuranda Koala Gardens - female Pip has been introduced to male Tonto and introductions are going well. According to the post they are the only breeding pair of Mahogany Gliders currently in captivity (not sure what the current status of the breeding pair at Wildlife Habitat is then): Log into Facebook | Facebook
There should be a few Mahogany Gliders (still?) among the Gold Coast zoos but I am unsure on their current status as there hasn't been any public updates recently nor are they on-display locally. There has however been some recent movement among the Mahogany Gliders as Hidden Vale Wildlife Centre also recently received an old non-breeding pair of Mahogany Gliders that will live out their years at the facility.I thought there were at least 2 other collections in Queensland that have/had them
