La Vallee des Singes La Vallee des Singes news

Hello, I'm planning a visit to this zoo in next months.

I've seen in zootierliste that they have Sapajus libidinosus but in their web doesn't appear the species (and in old maps in les zoos dans le monde don't appear too)

Does anybody know if the species is in the collection?

It seems that they were present at the park during at least the 2000s in contact with the visitors. Nowadays Sapajus xanthosternos is presented. It could be possible that the specie is still present, they have two separate groups and the park isn't clear about which species are there or not

I visited in September of 2024 and can confirm that both groups are Sapajus xanthosternos. I can't deny the possibility one individual would be Sapajus libidinosus. I at least didn't see a Bearded Capuchin at this zoo.

The Vallée des Singes will welcome L'Hoest's monkey (Allochrocebus lhoesti) this year in a walkthrough exhibit if I understand well the article.

You read well. The group will apparently be in the current Black Lemur exhibit, which will move to another park. I'm a little surprised by presenting this specie in contact with visitors, considering it hasn't been done before in Europe (at least from what I know)

Hello everyone
I have a weird request. Would it be possible to get pictures from all alive Bonobo individuals at La vallee des singes right now? If possible with the name of the individual attached.
It would help me out a lot!

Thanks in advance!
