I visited today for the first time; a spectacular zoo!
A few species I hadn't seen before; roloway monkeys, southern white-cheeked gibbons and a lesser spot-nosed monkey (on the gorilla island).
Four of the bonobos were not visible; Lisala, Luebo, Bondo and Kelele. The keeper did not specify why.
All eight of the gorillas were outside for the talk, but the weather was on and off rainy/cold so the majority of the apes remained indoors.
It seems the white-belted black-and-white ruffed lemurs being introduced to the red-bellied and black lemurs have an offshow outdoor area for the time being, connected to the house by a tunnel.
Only three of the chimps turned up to the talk; Jos, Bastiaan and Roy. Later on in the day when the weather was a bit nicer I saw Jorg, Conan and I think Vincent patrolling the island along with these three. Wonder was nowhere to be found (likely indoors all day).
No sign of the golden-handed, emperor or golden-headed lion tamarins, not to mention the Geoffroy's marmosets.
Pileated gibbons will arrive later in the year, and move onto the island currently inhabited by 6 red-faced spider monkeys. These monkeys will be moved to a much larger home on the other side of the main lemur walkthrough (almost opposite the bonobos).
Also, I heard gorilla display calls from inside the chimp house, so it's safe to assume Sango and Lomako are in there for the time being (until they're transferred that is). They are likely alternating with the chimps in terms of island use.
Also, Hakuna the gorilla looks very pregnant to me. gorillasland.yolasite.com says she's expecting, so she was likely impregnated in Budapest before she moved to Romagne.
Overall, a terrific park! Much more wild than Apenheul, and the staff are lovely. The bonobo keeper was very pleased to chat with me about her charges, and even more so when I managed to identify around eight of them without her saying a word

I will 100% be back!
