I don't know - I think it's fairly easy to guess a member's age group by the style and content of their posts. I could be proved wrong, of course. As for the long lists of animals and zoos, they've got to be started by males, haven't they? (A 'collecting' thing?)

Fair point, but I was convinced some people were male when they were female and vice versa.
I guess my name gives my gender away (even in Australia 
). My age is the same as Heinz's varieties - but, according to the nice man on the door at Port Lympne last August, I look older!

I think that Taun is right and my original estimation of an 80-20 split between guys and gals would probably be more accurately described as a 90-10 split. I think that on the "stats" page the top 20 posters on this website are perhaps all male, and the top 20 members who have been here the longest are potentially all male as well. Just a guess, but the number of females is likely 10% at the most.

You are just a nipper then. I am 62.....but look younger.
I looked at the Stats page and the top 20 longest members contain at least two ladies, but not more than three, I think.
I also noticed fro the graphs how Zoochat suddenly took off about two years ago/end of 2006 with membership suddenly accelerating. At that time it was still mainly an Australian Forum...
