What does everyone think of this little zoo?I did a keeper for the day experience last year and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.Despite the limitations of being a small collection they have a surpriseing amount of exotic and native species such as red squirrels,snow leopards and primates,the animals have brilliant and somewhat unique enclosure set ups and it has plenty of good qualities about the place.

I like it, a lot of unusual fish and inverts.

It's a good zoo,you will enjoy it,especially if the lemurs are curious.

It's very close to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve - you might see otters or marsh harriers from the public hide (or more if you are an RSPB memeber or you pay the entrance fee).

It's a nice collection, and so easy to find your way around.

Sorry to reactivate this thread but here is an update on some species that have arrived in recent months and a couple extras
0.1 Jamaican Boa-Arrived in February 2017
Fire Salamander tadpoles that hatched in November 2016 and January 2017
Manakara a new fossa arrived on the 7th April.This brings the population to 1.1
Luna,one of Pavan and Tara the snow leopard's cubs recently had two of her own at Parco Faunistico"Le Corneille" in Italy.The cubs are called Arman and Neko.
Three Short Tailed Alpine Garter Snakes arrived recently and are now on show in the Tropical Hall.Lakeland are the only zoo in Europe to exhibit this species.
