In a little more as a week time 6 Ring-tailed lemurs born :
1 single young
1 x twins
1 x triplets
 
Lots of new species arrived at Hoenderdaell, among them :
- Avocet
- Stilt
- Sacred ibis
- Cattle egret
- Hooded merganser
- African spurred tortoise
- Livingstone, Green-crested, Red-crested and White-cheeked touraco.

On the ground of Landgoed Hoenderdaell also the "Stichting Leeuw" ( Foundation Lion ) has it's home. This foundation give a home to unwanted and convistigated big cats.
Normaly the animals at this foundation are not allowed to breed ( would make the big cat- problem only bigger ) but by accident on of the Lion-female became pregnant and now gave birth to a healthy young.
 
New species at Hoenderdaell : Brown ( chestnut ) eared aracaris ( the only other public collection in Europe with this species being Walsrode ).
 
A new Puma arrived at Stichting Leeuw to be company for the Puma already at the Foundation. The animal came from BestZoo.
 
New species at Hoenderdaell : yellow-throated marten. It is now living in the old raccoon-exibit but a new enclosure is planned for the species .
 
Big plans at Hoenderdaell: they are already home to the Stichting Leeuw - a big cat sanctuary, now they have contrete plans to become home to a rest-home for (old ) elephants.
 
On march 11 twin Cotton-top tamarins born.
Also 2 sets of twins with the Ring-tailed lemurs born on March 26 and March 27 :) .
 
At Landgoed Hoenderdaell the construction of a new "Bird-of-Prey arena" has started. It's planned that the enclosure will be finished next year.
It will become the new home for species like :
Andean condoe
Bald eagle
Steller's sea-eagle
King vulture
Egyptian vulture
White-headed vulture
Rüppel's vulture
Gyr falcon
