Lapwings In Aviculture

I've discovered that there are aviculturists who keep Lapwings in aviaries. In recent years I've discovered they are really cool interesting birds. One species that I'd definitely like to have one day is the Masked Lapwing (Vanellus miles miles) as I see that they seem to be bred in the US by aviculturists. Other species I'm interested in are Northern (Vanellus vanellus), Southern (Vanellus chilensis), Crowned (Vanellus coronatus), and Long Toed (Vanellus crassirostris). It seems from my research that it seems that in the US the main species that are bred are Southern, Blacksmith, African Spur Winged, African Wattled, and Masked. Any others and which species would you rank as beginner to expert? Right now my favorite top 3 are:

1) Masked
2) Southern
3) Crowned

Do European aviculturists breed the other species and have any of you cared for or keep them? I read on this link that they are a good choice for aviculturists and are easy to care for. Lastly, its a shame that the Javan Lapwing is almost extinct. Its such an incredible looking species!

Looking at Zootierliste in European zoos there are also these species kept:
Black-headed V.tectus
Long-toed. V.crassirostris
several other species have been kept in the past but it looks like there is no European captive population.
The AZA shorebird husbandry manual can be found here - should have useful information for you
