22 Mississippi Alligators evolve in an open space in an area that reconstructs a zone of water filtered by plants, lagoons, aquatic vegetation, fish, Florida turtles, frogs ... The 3000 m 2 space consists of a A wet environment consisting of a water body, a swamp, a pool with an underwater vision, a stilt adventure with suspended bridges. Has gone for immersion with the alligators in the heart of the bayou! An educational tour will accompany the visitor throughout his visit. Each day, a healer will perform an animation to better explain the daily life of these "survivors of another age" through their food, territory, temperature, reproduction ...

Visitors enter Alligator Park, an abandoned alligator farm abandoned by a devastating hurricane in the Mississippi bayou. Nature has regained its rights as the public surprises in the marshes of the alligators masters of the place ... A replica (5m in length) of "Big Georges", the famous alligator disappeared in the last century, Entrance to the park and invites visitors to take a picture.

• This "prehistoric" species is always fascinating and often frightening. The public of the PAL has been claiming them for years.
• The presentation of Mississippi alligators responds to the LAP's mission to raise public awareness
of biodiversity conservation by providing an opportunity to observe and understand the role and behavior of endangered species in the wild.
• Alligators, like sharks, are dreaded, unloved and yet their contribution to the food chain is paramount.
• Offer young and old alike unique moments of discovery, emotions and sharing.
Why is this presentation unique in Europe?
The installation is unique in size (3,000 m 2) and its design respectful of animal welfare. In most parks, alligators are presented in concrete ponds and aquariums . At the PAL these crocodilians evolve in the open sky. Their biotope is completely preserved by an ecosystem with water heated and filtered by plants, lagoon, vegetation, fish, turtles ... A winter building and a nursery complete the installation. The team of trainers will perform regular medical training so that alligators can receive routine care without stress. It took 18 months for the PAL teams and the architect to develop the concept, biotope and infrastructure.
The other development this year will be a Snow Leopard enclosure. The exhibit (when finished) will be be occupied by two males from Magdeburg

The park built for 2021 (hopefully) a large hotel overlooking the African savannah with giraffes, rhinos, zebras, antelopes ...
We have heard of Indian rhinos in this park for a long time, but a priori they are no longer planned.
I also had info from a keeper (5/6 years ago) who told me that another kind of monkey was going to happen and it could be a big monkey. Good like the Indian rhinoceros we hear more about it ...

The hotel will include sixty suites spread over five buildings on three floors. There will be two other buildings for the reception and the restaurant (which will have a panoramic view of the enlarged African plain. Southern white rhinos will be new addition to the park.

They can't insure against pandemics, and next year and in ALL the years to come, all it takes is one person on one aeroplane to bring it all crashing down.

Le Pal has 600.000 visitors per year and is in a very good shape for an economical eye.
The project started last year, before covid-19.
And sorry for my british friends but we are not in bankrupt(not for the moment
)

- confirmation of Nina's pregnancy (asian elephant) with birth expected for march/april 2021,
- the new african plain will be home to three males southern white rhinos, coming from Dublin Zoo, Cotswold and Peaugres. They will arrive in december and will be housed in a new barn. Females are expected for the futute.
- the Rothschild giraffes will be moved (in the new plain) in january and a new bull will arrive for breeding.
- Victor, a 6 years old Mississipi alligator, was exchanged with Rosie, a 7 years old female, from Planete Exotica.
