It will be interesting to see if the safari park ever opens up that area for visitors, even if it is via pre-paid public tours. To have 20 Cheetahs in a 4-acre complex that is all off-show is great for breeding purposes, but it would also be neat to tour. At least the nearby zoo has a truly excellent Cheetah exhibit already.

They've been doing tours of the area for years already?

I saw on their website that both the Cheetah and Tiger tours are "not currently available", but it does say to check back in spring 2023. It looks like it's a fee of $65, which includes admission to the park.

They don't offer them Nov-April, when the entire place is closed. I did one years ago, it was my reason for going to Nebraska.

There are 10 Guar in the herd behind the scenes at the Omaha Zoo's Wildlife Safari Park. They are all in retirement per social media post.

Log into Facebook
Are they/have they been actively breeding or being used for AI for Bronx's herd??? I'm sure their genetics are essential for the future of the population in the US & Canada.
