On November 8th, the zoo announced they transferred a (1.0) trumpeter swan to Zoo Idaho to be released into the wild soon after.

On November 18th, the zoo announced they acquired (2.1) Patagonian cavies from the Abilene Zoo in Texas, as well as a (0.1) addax named Sahara from the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois. The zoo also announced they acquired (0.2) greater rhea, and they converted the former swift fox exhibit into one for (1.1) burrowing owls named Clive and Fergie.

Also on November 18th, it was announced that the zoo acquired a (1.0) maned wolf from the Phoenix Zoo in Arizona.

Lee Richardson Zoo on Instagram: "Zoo Update: Maned wolves "Thiago" and "Lelah" are officially sharing their habitat! Animal Care Staff originally introduced the male and female together with barriers between the two so that they could see and smell each other in case either showed aggression to the other. They split time in the yard so that new arrival Thiago could get used to his new home on his own terms. This morning Thiago and Lelah were given access to their yard at the same time for the first time. There was much sniffing, watching, stalking, and few warning snarls but the pair quickly found their groove and female Lelah was able to lay down for a nap without worry. Great success! Good job Thiago, Lelah, and Animal Care Staff!"

And the Día de los Muertos celebration is pretty cool!
