Amur-leopard 'Vatne' (born 21.10.2005 at Tierpark Berlin) gave birth to a dead cub last week, another dead cub was removed by the veterinians from the birth canal.
The birth (her first birth) took very long and the birth canal was still very tight, so the cubs suffocated.
'Vatne' is doing well, she is getting antibiotic medication and the zoos hope, she is going to give birth to healthy cubs next year....
