I thought I'd make a news thread for the LEO Zoological Conservation Center since there's currently none out there.
One of the zoo's female Baringo Giraffes, Petal, gave birth to a healthy female calf on Friday, March 22:

On February 7 the zoo also had a male Eastern Bongo born to 5 year-old, two time mother Amelia Ear-Hart:

EDIT: The zoo says they still have two pregnant giraffes. I'm pretty sure they are both Baringos but they may also be some of the hybrid Reticulated Giraffes that are there. Also, this giraffe birth may be a first for Connecticut!
